Adding vinegar scobies to juices other than apple?

Postby MikeinHalifax on Fri Mar 03, 2017 6:12 pm

Good evening,

About a month ago I ventured into ACV making with some raw unfiltered apple juice and Braggs ACV. I have a 1/2 "scoby and while still a little sweet the vinegar flavour and aroma are coming through.

My thought are now turning to "what if". I cannot find much on the net so I would like to ask if anyone here has had success with this, or for those who are experienced, would this be a worthwhile venture. I am thinking maybe an orange vinegar or a more exotic peach-mango one.

Thanks in advance for any tips or guidance.

i haven't tried with juices, but it seems like it should work. make sure you're not getting juice with sorbates or any other preservatives in it.

I realise this is an old post but did you ever get around to trying this?
Has anyone else tried something similar?

Thanks
