This forum is only for brief introductions.

New users! If you wish to post to any of our normal fermentation-discussion forums, you must post an introduction here with a little bit about your interests and experience. (If you're just here to read, you don't really need to do this.) After a while -- usually less than a day, but sometimes I go longer, I'll approve your membership and post a response welcoming you to the forum.

We have been swamped with spam-attacks that have nearly ruined the forum and this measure is an attempt to address the problem. All real people, capable of discussing related issues in a civil manner are more than welcome here!
