Temeph tubes

Here's an experiment. I made some tempeh tubes using some medium coarse bulgur wheat.

I coated the sides with some olive oil and crisp them on all sides in my air fryer. I made some avocado hummus, piped it into the tubes, and then cut them into bite-size pieces.

The bulgur has a nutty taste and a texture like popcorn. I really like the smooth texture of the avocado hummus, so putting them together is quite good. Since this was my first time making the tubes I can see that five across was too crowded, I think four across will give a more consistent result.
