*I just asked in the "Vegetable Ferments" forum about the safety of adding Oil in Sauerkraut
I would love your help with a few questions please:
1. Does adding a bit of oil for flavor to a vegetable ferment like sauerkraut is safe?
2. Does fermenting in honey or fruit syrups is safe?

Preserving in oil is safe?
I do a lot of jars of olive oil with garlic, sage, Rosemary, etc... and chiles also!
I do it for to flavor the oil
