Hello, I am currently working on my second brew in my 2.5 gallon continuous brew kombucha. This morning I checked my brew this morning and found one fruit fly under the cloth! I quickly got it out and after sterilizing my hands I pulled the top two scobys out. The top layer I composted but saved the second one in an isolated jar wih a little kt for observation. My first "mother" scoby was chilling at the bottom of my jar so I just left her in the tea. My brew had been going for about 5 days and was getting nice and bubbly. My question is do I need to scrap everything and get a new mother or do you guys think I might have saved my brew? I only found one fly but I'm a little scared she might have laid eggs in there or something. I also added another layer of fabric to my "lid" and set a fruit fly trap next to my brewing vessel. Thank you for helping me, I'm defiantly a newbie here.
