Storing tempeh starter

Hi everyone!

After my making my first tempeh ever (huge success, it was delicious!) I was silly and forgot to put the starter in the fridge.
It stayed in its ziploc bag for around 3 weeks on the cupboard. I just realized and put in in the fridge today... do you think this is too bad? should I get new starter or can I try again with this one?
